In 2024, my partner and our furbabies left the thriving art & music scene in Ballard, Seattle, WA to move to Everett, WA. My heart is forever on the streets of Seattle, but physically, I'm an Everett...ite? Everett-idian? IDK. 
By 2025 it became apparent that there is no cohesive zine scene here in my new city, but there are A LOT of people making zines, comics, and self-publishing. Since no one else had done it, I started Evergreen Zine Union (@evergreenzineunion) as a way to start building a cohesive and lively community of zinesters, self-publishers, and others. Desite the formality of the name, the Evergreen Zine Union has no membership - we're just loosely allied folks with a common goal.
