Gone Phishin’: Shut Your Tuna Trap! Exposé Zine

For 11 years Big Tuna in the US had a monopolistic hold on canned and packaged tuna. Within this monopoly they schemed to fix prices, veer away from sustainable fishing practices and so much more fuckery, the mind reels. In 2015 they told on themselves hardcore and the US DOJ stepped in. The 3 major tuna producers were cooked! We have long-suspected my cat-daughter, Seobia Jean, was complicit in tuna crimes and this dossier outlines her (alleged) complicity!

The design of this zine is meant to be like a government dossier. The pages inside are hole punched and held together so pages can be flipped up to be read. The 30 typed pages of the zine are paired with: 

• A fold out timeline of tuna crimes. 

• A "reel" serious page about sustainable tuna fishing.

• A itemized list of pending criminal charges against Seobia

• A resume for Seobia.

• A wanted poster for Seobia.

• A copy of a check to prove Seobia materially benefitted from the tuna cartel.

• A business card for Seobia Jean’s brother (also a cat) who is a personal injury attorney you can hire if you’ve been financially impacted by Seobia Jean. That is affixed to the cover by a cat- or fish-shaped paperclip.
